WARRINGTON Wolves have appealed for information from fans after crowd trouble erupted during the Wire’s clash with Catalans Dragons.

Ugly scenes broke out near to the end of the 30-10 defeat in Perpignan on Saturday evening, with a fan in a hospitality section seen to hit travelling supporters with a chair before a number of punches were thrown.

And the club is now appealing for supporters to send in any pictures or videos of the disorder to assist with its ongoing investigation.

It is believed that no fans were seriously hurt during the brawl in the stands of the Stade Gilbert Brutus.

A spokesman said: “Warrington Wolves opened up an investigation on Saturday night following the incidents that took place at the conclusion of the game at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.

“The club is continuing to conduct a thorough enquiry into the events and would ask for any supporters who attended the game, and have photographic or video evidence, or any information which they feel will assist, to please email into info@warringtonwolves.com.”
