There are rumours of fans having been 'glassed'.

Video clips on social media show a Catalans fan in the hospitality area, which is at the rear of the stand, raining down on Wire fans with a bar stool.

A scramble ensues across the stand, with many trying to clear away from the area but others climbing into the hospitality boxes.

Punches can be seen being thrown.

Lots of Warrington fans are stating that beer glasses being thrown by Catalans fans in the hospitality area started the ugly scenes.

Wire supporters are saying a young girl was injured after being hit with a glass.

And then came the antics with the bar stool.

Players of both teams approached the stand signalling for fans to 'calm down'.

Some of the scenes, but not how it all started, was broadcast live by Sky Sports.

One fan told the Guardian: "By far the worst trouble I've seen in a rugby ground."

Wolves were defeated 30-10.

Here is just some of the reaction on social media.

Sarah Kohelove via Facebook, said: "As a family who made a holiday with 40 friends got caught in the middle of the fight my 8 year old son was knocked over and I am fully ashamed of what I witnessed.

"We can all point blame and both supporters however it was like seeing animals and to see young children and families terrified it was horrific!"

Christine Owen added: "Watched on tv, hope all are ok don’t think the players helped, lead by example, some of there language was uncalled for.

"Commentator kept apologising, not nice to watch, so scary for those attending thankfully no reports of serious injury🙄🙄😡"

Sean Fenny said: "It was like watching a game from the 70s when fighting was common both on the pitch and in the stands.

"Both teams are guilty of bringing the game into disrepute and have damaged a great sport watched by families how awful it must have been for the families that went to watch.

"I only hope that this hasn’t spoiled it for those fans with kids"
