BARONS Quay is gearing up for the opening of its Northwich beach this weekend.
The beach will be opening at Barons Quay opposite H&M on Saturday and will remain there until September 1.
Pictures taken today show staff are hard at work putting together the fenced off area in time for the grand opening on Saturday.
Barons Quay will also be hosting free summer activities at the beach for families to enjoy each Saturday throughout the holidays.
These include bucket and spade decorating from 11am to 4pm this Saturday and beach ball decorating from 11am to 4pm on August 10.
There will also be a first-come first-served ice cream giveaway while stocks last from 11am on August 17, and giant roaming seagulls making appearances throughout the day on August 24.

The beach was a family hit last summer, with deckchairs and sandcastles offering a slice of the seaside on the banks of the River Weaver.
