AFTER this morning's announcement, we couldn't resist dipping into the archives for pictures of our new Prime Minister.
Back in April 2015, the then Mayor of London caused quite a stir when he visited the town posing for selfies and greeting voters.
He headed to south Warrington to support Tory candidate David Mowat ahead of the 2015 election and stopped for a coffee at Esquires before having a phone thrust in his direction and asked by a resident if they would have a 'quick chat' with his dad.
Speaking at the time about Stockton Heath, he said: "I am really encouraged by the atmosphere - every shop I went past was occupied and businesses were active.
"Even now, we have had a good recovery in London but some businesses down the high street are shutting up but that is not the case here.
"It is really thriving and I congratulate everybody on their enterprise - these are fantastic businesses."
Here's some of our favourite pictures from his visit
