A HOUGHTON Green pub restaurant has unveiled its new look after a six-figure makeover that has created eight jobs.

The Plough’s revamp included a complete design overhaul with significant interior changes including a new back bar and the creation of separate areas for dining and watching sports fixtures.

New booth seating and bar furniture has also been added at the Greene King-owned venue. A new colour scheme has been introduced, combining natural wood with bursts of colour, as well as new tiling and contemporary flooring to create a brighter environment.

Warrington Guardian:

Shirley Smithies, general manager at The Plough, said: “The Plough has always been popular so we are really excited to be able to provide an even better place for guests to enjoy great food and drink, as well as watching all the best sporting events.

"The opening was a real success, with everyone commenting on the fantastic revamped interior and improved drinks range. We look forward to welcoming loyal and new guests over the coming months.”

The new-look pub specialises in steak dishes including the signature double dipped rib eye – a 10oz marinated rib eye steak dipped in Texan-style barbecue sauce with onion rings, mac and cheese and waffle fries. The drinks range has also recently been extended to include craft beer and more spirits.
