FIREFIGHTERS rescued a hedgehog from a drain in Croft last night.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Mustard Lane shortly after 7pm yesterday, Tuesday, having initially received reports that a dog was stuck in the drain.
A fire engine and a rope rescue unit were sent to the scene, with crews opening the drain to discover that a hedgehog was stuck.
The creature was then safely freed before being handed over to Lowton Hedgehog Rescue.
