WHSmith and M&S Food to Go have opened today, Tuesday in Warrington Hospital's main entrance.
The newly refitted store occupies the space of the former newsagent and has taken a month to complete the work and stock the shelves.
Cutting the ribbon today were chief nurse Kimberley Salmon-Jamieson and chief operating officer Chris Evans with senior teams and staff from both retailers.
They explained that the new shops bring 'yet more quality choice for patients, visitors, staff and the local community'.
The store is open seven days a week and has both self-checkout and staffed tills as queue busters.
The opening times are Monday to Friday from 7am to 8.30pm, Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 7pm.
