A DISUSED public toilet block is set to be bulldozed in order to make way for apartments.
The former WC on Bluecoat Street in Orford, at the junction with Winwick Road, will be demolished in favour of a three-storey block of flats.
Warrington Borough Council has Bolton-based Bishops Rock Properties planning permission to build six two-bedroom residential units on the site – located opposite the old St Ann’s Church, the grade two-listed building now being used as the North West Face climbing centre.
A similar scheme was withdrawn in 2016, but a second application was made in August last year.

And the council’s consent was granted on Wednesday, July 3.
