RESIDENTS will get the chance to press council leader Cllr Russ Bowden twice this month.

The Labour politician has added two sessions to his leader’s forums schedule.

The sessions give the public the chance to question him about issues and priorities outside of formal council meetings.

The first will take place, from 6.30pm to 7.45pm, tomorrow, Wednesday, at Bridgewater High School upper site in Appleton, on Broomfields Road.

The second will take place at the same time at St Werburgh’s Community Hub in Latchford, on Boswell Avenue, on July 22.

The dates have been added in response to ‘growing feedback’ by residents at previous forums across the borough.

Cllr Bowden (LAB – Birchwood) says he has enjoyed the forums so far and is looking forward to the two events this month.

He added: “The forums aren’t just for residents in each ward or community, they are for everyone, and I’d welcome the chance to talk with people again at the Appleton and Latchford meetings.

“I don’t want to shy away from the issues that matter most to Warrington’s communities which is why it’s important I head out again to new areas of our borough, to hopefully speak with more residents about any questions and concerns they have.

“The council is here to serve Warrington’s communities.

“One of the best ways of understanding how we can improve and respond to resident issues is by meeting face to face.”

Registration to attend the forum or ask a question is not required.
