KIERON Morris has signed a two-year contract with Tranmere Rovers.

The 25-year-old winger joins on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell at Prenton Park last season, which ended in promotion at Wembley to Sky Bet League One.

Morris started the Play-Off final victory against Newport County, and in total made 14 appearances for the Club, scoring once in the 2-0 triumph at home to Stevenage.

“I wanted to come here and I am pleased it is all now done,” said the former Walsall man. “I know the Club and for me it was always the right thing to do.

“One of the main reasons I wanted to join was the fans. They are an amazing group and I can’t wait for the season to start now.”

Manager Micky Mellon added: “We know Kieron is a really talented lad and he hit very good levels in order to help us win promotion.

“We believe that there’s still a lot more to come from him and we think that can drive him on. He can deal with the athleticism that we are going to have to deal with in League One and he fits into that bracket of young, hungry and ambitious.

“I’m looking forward to working with Kieron again next season.”
