A FEAST of family entertainment is planned this weekend in Ellesmere Port communities.

The Little Sutton Community Festival takes place on Sunday, June 30, from 11am-5pm at Little Sutton Community Centre.

Organisers Port Fest Events CIC say this will be the biggest ever festival in Little Sutton, with both the mayor and Ellesmere Port MP Justin Madders confirming their attendance.

The event this year has been spilt into various sections, with one of the main highlights being the Dog Zone, with fun and games, a dog show and dog-related stalls including sale of doggy beer and doggy sausages (new this year).

In the children’s area, there will be face painting and glitter artists, a fun fair with kids rides and a bouncy castle slide.

With the ongoing scarecrow festival taking place in the community, there will also be a scarecrow making area and some free and paid activities for children.

Additionally, an art festival will include artists offering their work for sale, plus workshops in the children’s area.

Elsewhere, there will be free health checks offered from Melia medical, who will providing medical cover, a barbecue, candy floss, popcorn, a Pimms tent and a fully licensed bar.

There is a free holiday to be won by Lyons Holiday Park, free goodie bags, plus live entertainment including karaoke and DJ.

This event supports a number of charities in the form of stalls, also raising money for the local charity Meet & 2 Veg.

Elsewhere, a summer fair will take place at Archers Brook SEMH Residential School, Chester Road, Great Sutton on Saturday, June 29, between noon and 3pm.

All are welcome to the event, which will feature hook-a-duck, stalls, mascots, donkey rides, a fire engine, a barbecue, a bouncy castle, afternoon tea, a raffle and tombola, coconut shy, an ice cream van, science corner, beat the goalie, face painting and much more.

Next weekend, at Sutton Green Primary School, there will be another summer fair on Saturday, July 6, from 11.30am-3.30pm.

There will be a bouncy castle, assault course, sweet stall, face painting, zorbs, a DJ, dance performances, cakes, a barbecue and ice cream and much more. Entry is £1 per adult and children go free.
