WARRINGTON and Halton Hospitals’ charity is urging NHS staff and supporters in Warrington, Runcorn and Widnes to ‘raise a cuppa’ and celebrate the NHS’ birthday on Friday, July 5.
Thousands of tea parties are set to take place across the country as the nation comes together to mark the 71st birthday of the NHS and raise money for NHS charities.
Now, WHH Charity is calling on everyone in Warrington who loves the NHS to get behind the campaign and host their own tea party with friends, family and colleagues.
All funds raised from the community tea parties will help to provide additional comforts, care and experiences for the direct benefit of patients and families in Warrington and Halton, beyond that which the NHS is able to provide.
The event is part of a national campaign launched in 2018 by NHS Charities Together, which is the national association for NHS charities.
Warrington Hospital will be celebrating the occasion in their main entrance with a cake stand, tombola and choirs singing throughout the day.
They are encouraging everybody in the community to get involved and give something back to the NHS.
