A MENTAL health treatment service in Fearnhead is hosting an open evening to unveil their state-of-the-art treatment facility for mental health conditions.

Expert TMS based on Cinnamon Park use a clinically proven treatment known as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, rTMS.

This is a form of non-invasive brain stimulation that provides an effective non-pharmaceutical treatment for mental health problems with limited side effects.

It administers short magnetic pulses over the scalp to stimulate specific brain regions that regulate conditions like depression, anxiety and other disorders.

The method may be used alongside medication but does not require it to start seeing results.

The process is pain-free and therefore requires no anaesthetics or sedatives.

rTMS has been tested in more than 60 clinical studies worldwide and evidence shows a high positive response rate.

Consultant psychiatrists Nithya and Rashad said: "Depression is a consuming and debilitating illness and we are are proud to be bringing this treatment to Warrington.

"As well as avoiding unwanted side-effects, rTMS acts much faster than antidepressants and doesn’t require the patient to change their daily activities.

"The treatment is also effective for a range of other mental health issues."

The informal event will commence at 4.30pm, with the facility being declared officially open at 5pm followed by a buffet and a chance to have a look around.

Manager, Lynn Groves and directors, doctors Nithya Anandan and Rashad Nazir will be available to talk to.

The open evening will take place on Friday, July 5.

Anyone wishing to come along is asked to contact Lynn on 661721.
