Delays and queuing traffic after accident on Winwick Road
AN accident is causing queueing traffic southbound on Winwick Road this morning, Thursday.
The incident was reported at 7.40am at the roundabout for the A574 Cromwell Avenue.
Congestion is stretching beyond the M62 roundabout to Winwick Link Road from the M6.
Residual delays also remain around Winwick.
A police spokesman said the accident was a damage only collision, with no reports of any injuries.
All the vehicles have been moved to the side of the road to allow traffic to pass.
