THE Vet Warrington's dedication to caring for both its furry patients and their owners has made it a deserving winner of the Perfect Pet Care Provider Award at our 2019 Customer Service Awards.

Debbie Wheatcroft, centre director of the practice based in Cockhedge Way, said its success was down to the way the team was so dedicated to put animal welfare above all else.

She said: "The team are so driven in what they do.

"We listen to what customers say- we offer walk-ins and clinics where we try our utmost to see people.

"We know it can be tricky sometimes when you have been to work and we get so many comments from people saying they love the walk-ins.

"You can also go online to check wait times if you don't want to wait for long."

This unique service allows pet owners to visit The Vet website and view current average wait times which regularly update to ensure owners are prepared before leaving the house.

A customer nomination sent to the Warrington Guardian read: "The whole team are so dedicated to the care and wellbeing of animals and they ensure good quality veterinary treatment is affordable to all."

The Vet prides itself on affordable prices, which can be viewed online and in the practice, while offering some added extras to not only keep pets calm, but also their owners.

There are separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs to avoid those little scraps and owners can register online to save precious time when the visiting The Vet.

Debbie added: "We pride ourselves on customer service and it is one of our values.

"We're just delighted that the customers think of us in this way.

"I am so pleased- the award means more than anything because it's come from the public."

One groomer in particular received positive feedback from a number of nominations.

Customers said they travelled from as far as Bolton and Wigan for Lana Pocock to groom their pet.

Another nomination added she was 'always patient and gentle' while another said she treats all dogs 'as if they were her own'.

Lana, who is the only dog groomer at the practice, said: "I have quite a few customers who have followed me throughout my career- it's really nice and quite surprising!

"We have been here two-and-a half-years now so it's taken bringing up a client base who come about every four weeks.

"It sounds cliche but they feel like family- I think that because I work one-to-one it gives me time to get to know them.

"I really like being part of The Vet and I know if I can go to the team for help if I have any problems."

The Vet Warrington offer a number of services, with the option of a pet healthcare plan.

Services include consultations, vaccinations, neutering, micro-chipping and dog grooming amongst others.

One nomination for the practice, which can be found in Thelwall Lane, praised head vet Iain Mottram for his team’s involvement with the community.
