STARLIGHT WALK > Friday/Saturday

GRAPPENHALL WALKING DAY > Saturday

ONE of the biggest days on the calendar in Grappenhall returns on Saturday.

Grappenhall Walking Day and Summer Fair promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

The day will start at 12.45pm with an environmental themed service, led by the Rector of St Wilfrid’s Church, Rev Jane Proudfoot, on St Wilfrid’s School field. 

The crowd will then begin their annual walk of witness around Grappenhall Village, led by Dobcross Youth Band.

PADGATE AND WOOLSTON WALKING DAY > Saturday

Warrington Guardian: Crowds line Padgate Lane for Walking Day

The procession will begin at 2.30pm on Saturday from Station Road – with nearly two dozen schools and churches taking part in the march.

They will follow a route along Padgate Lane up to the junction with Orford Road, before turning around and returning back towards Padgate Station.

More than 4,000 residents are expected to line the streets to watch the parade.

GLASTONFERRY IN THE PARK> Saturday

Warrington Guardian:

It was so popular at the Ferry Tavern that Glastonferry is heading outdoors at the Town Hall.

Clone Roses, Oas-is, The Verve Experience and Clint Boon among others will perform from 1pm 

LYMM HISTORIC TRANSPORT DAY > Sunday

Warrington Guardian: Lymm Historic Transport Day

IT is one of the biggest days in the Lymm calendar and its reputation has spread much further among enthusiasts. 

Historic Transport Day will fly, sail, drive and steam into the village on Sunday

The event started just six years ago but it has quickly grown to become one of the region’s premier transport themed occasions with something for everyone from transport buffs to families looking for a fun, affordable day out. 

The parade is free but the main event field is admission by wristband on the day which cost £5 for adults, £3 for children or £12 for a family of four.

ORFORD PARK FESTIVAL > Sunday

ORFORD Park Festival returns for a seventh year this weekend.

Organised by the Friends of Orford Park, the 2019 edition of the popular annual event takes place between 11am and 4pm on Sunday.

Attractions include a fairground, a variety of stalls, donkey rides, a train ride, live music and dance acts.
All are welcome, with entry to the festival free and stalls £10 – although charities are being offered free pitches
