An ambulance was called to Billinge
A SCHOOLGIRL has been taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car.
The collision, involving a white Citroen Berlingo, happened at 4.15pm on Main Street, Billinge.
A police spokesman said: "Ambulance and police were called following the collision. The 12-year-old girl has an injury to her arm. She has been taken to hospital."
Main Street was closed because the car was blocking the road.
