PADGATE Walking Day 2019 takes place this weekend.
The procession will begin at 2.30pm on Saturday, from Station Road – with nearly two dozen schools and churches taking part in the march.
They will follow a route along Padgate Lane up to the junction with Orford Road, before turning around and returning back towards Padgate Station.
More than 4,000 residents are expected to line the streets to watch the parade.
A number of road closures will be in place on the day – with Padgate Lane, Station Road North, Station Road South and part of Blackbrook Avenue closed from 2pm until roughly 4pm.
Traffic will be signposted away from the Padgate area along Manchester Road and Woolston Grange Avenue.
The Station House, the King and Queen, Padgate Community Centre and Padgate Village Club will be staying open throughout the day.
