A 20-YEAR-OLD man's leg was 'impaled' on an iron fence in Handforth last night, Saturday.
Firefighters from Ellesmere Port were sent to Dean Road at 12.09am to reports of a man trapped.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival the crew found a 20-year-old man whose leg was impaled on an iron fence railing.
"Firefighters used electronic cutting equipment to remove the railing and free the casualty.
"The man was then passed to the care of paramedics."
The fire crew was at the scene for around an hour.
