Disney characters are being celebrated in Thelwall
VISITORS to Thelwall might spot some familiar faces this week.
Because more than 20 scarecrows depicting Disney characters have gone on display.
The scarecrow competition is under way ahead of this year's Thelwall Rose Queen which takes place on Saturday.
The theme for this year's festival is Disney and was chosen by the people of Thelwall for the first time in more than 50 years.
Some 10 floats will take part in the parade which leaves Bell Lane at the slightly earlier time of 1pm on Saturday.
The crowning will take place on Chaigeley School field afterwards.
