TRIBUTES have been paid after the sad death of a popular photographer.

Craig Moore, from Moore, died the day after his 51st birthday after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 18 months ago.

The care support worker, who helped adults with learning difficulties to live independently, moved to Warrington in 1993 after meeting his wife Linda.

He was known by many for his stunning photographs from around the town which regularly appeared in the Warrington Guardian newspaper and received thousands of likes and comments on the Warrington Photos Warrington Born Facebook group.

Linda added: "His love of photography stayed with him to the very end.

"I’m devastated to have lost my soul mate but he has left a legacy of beautiful photos for me to enjoy."

Craig was one of the original members in our Warrington Guardian Camera Club Facebook group and a number of other photographers in our group said his beautiful pictures had inspired them.

Linda has shared three of their favourite pictures that Craig took of the Bridgewater Canal during some of his early morning walks with their dog Charlie.

We've reproduced them here in tribute to Craig.
