BANK holidays may be over until August but there is no need to worry.
Because every weekend in June is packed with community fairs and festivals to enjoy it.
We have chosen nine of our favourites to highlight.
BIRCHWOOD CARNIVAL June 2
The popular annual event at Birchwood Forest Park takes place on Sunday, with a range of entertainment and activities on offer.
A colourful, circus-themed fancy dress parade marks the start of the afternoon's activities at 12.30pm, led by Karamba Samba Band.
Next is the fancy dress judging and prize-giving, followed by the official opening at 1pm.
GARDEN SAFARI Rixton with Glazebrook, June 8 10am until 4pm
A self-guided tour of open gardens, art exhibiton and a scarecrow trail
Programmes are £7. Children go free.
BAWMING THE THORN Appleton Thorn June 15, from 12pm
Parade through village followed by traditional bawming dance and summer fair.
One of the most historic events on the town's summer calendar
THELWALL ROSE QUEEN Thelwall, June 15 from 1pm
Procession through the village followed by plenty of fun on Chaigeley School field in the afternoon.
This year's theme is Disney
LYMM FESTIVAL June 20 to June 30
Events across the village, starts with the free food fest on June 20.

PADGATE AND WOOLSTON WALKING DAY Padgate Lane, June 22
Procession along Padgate Lane followed by events across the area
Expect thousands of people on the streets
GRAPPENHALL WALKING DAY Grappenhall June 22
Procession leaves after service at 12.45pm and will be followed by fun on the school field at St Wilfrid's
LYMM HISTORIC TRANSPORT DAY Lymm June 23
Events across Lymm with a parade in the morning and canal cruise in the afternoon
WARRINGTON WALKING DAY Warrington town centre, June 28
Procession leaves the town centre in the morning followed by service outside the Town Hall
RIXTON-WITH-GLAZEBROOK CARNIVAL Hollins Green June 29
From 11am until 4pm, there is plenty to enjoy and entry is free
