SAINSBURY’S Culcheth celebrated the supermarket's 150th anniversary with a thriving community party.
Staff from the store in Common Lane congregated in Newchurch Parish Hall next door to put on an afternoon of entertainment for more than 100 residents.
The event had been advertised in the store over the past few weeks to ensure that it was as community friendly as possible.
Newchurch pre-school joined in the fun and Culcheth Community Choir provided music to the guests.
Residents from Holcroft Grange care home were also invited and enjoyed line dancing, cake, refreshments and bingo.
Sainsburys was founded in 1869 in London by John James Sainsbury.
