A BINGO hall is claiming to be the luckiest in the UK after a member scooped a £50,000 prize on Monday - the fourth jackpot to be won at the club in 12 months.
The winner, who has asked to remain anonymous, was enjoying an evening at Mecca Bingo in Stockton with his wife-to-be when he won the National Bingo Game, claiming a huge £50,000 Jackpot Prize.
Previous jackpot wins at the club included on May 3 and December 6 last year and March 25 this year.
The winner, who has been a regular at the Stockton club for two decades, said: "I'm still in shock. I've been playing bingo ever since my mum introduced me to the game. It's a life-changing amount and has come at just the right time - my fiancee and I are getting married this August so we'll put some money towards that."
Alastair Stewart, Business Development Manager at the National Bingo Game said: "This fourth jackpot win does make Stockton one of the luckiest areas in the country for bingo."
