RESIDENTS and staff at Crosslands children’s home are celebrating after receiving an outstanding rating by Ofsted inspectors.

The property is run by Bright Futures Care - a specialist organisation supporting young people with complex learning, communication and sensory needs.

Bright Futures also run a school in Lymm, five young adult’s homes and three children’s homes in Warrington, with each children’s home also receiving excellent feedback from inspectors.

Key findings from the Crosslands report found that children have made ‘exceptional progress’ during their stay at the home.

Care plans provided also show a detailed account of each child’s needs and how the home is meeting them.

Bright Future’s care homes are quoted by Ofsted as being ‘exceptionally child focused’, with the experience of living in the homes ‘enhancing children’s lives’.

Staff at the Appleton Thorn home are said to feel ‘well supported’ in their roles and there is a strong focus on staff development and retention.

Lee Richards, service manager for children’s residential services, said: “This is a fantastic outcome for both the home, and for the organisation.

“Due to the ongoing demand for our services, we are currently recruiting people who are new to the care sector in addition to those who have experience.

“As a result, this is an exciting time for the organisation.

“Our challenge now is to maintain our high standards, continue our drive for improvement and continue to offer a quality service whilst providing meaningful career opportunities for our staff.”

Bright Future locations in Warrington offer integrated therapeutic residential support for young people with learning disabilities, Autism, and other complex needs.

This is to allow them to achieve their potential in terms of a meaningful education and community living experiences.

To do this, Bright Futures are currently recruiting people who share their passion about providing great care.

This includes people who may be new to the care sector as well as those who have experience.
