WARRINGTON Wolves legends Kevin Ellis and Allan Bateman will pull on the primrose and blue jersey once more when they feature for the Wire’s disability side at Magic Weekend.

The pair, who starred for Warrington in the early 1990s, will be the physical disability rugby league team’s two able-bodied players in a clash with Leeds Rhinos.

An exhibition game will showcase PDRL during half-time of the Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants game, which kicks off at 4.30pm on Saturday, May 25.

Later that evening, the Wire will take on Wigan Warriors in the headlining fixture of the first day of Magic Weekend in its new home at Liverpool FC’s Anfield Stadium.

Comedian Adam Hills, host of Channel 4’s the Last Leg, will again feature for Warrington.

Ellis and Bateman – who both debuted off the bench in a 26-9 win over Rochdale at Wilderspool in October 1990 – join the likes of Andrew Johns, Lee Briers, Matt King and Toa Kohe-Love in playing as able-bodied team members.
