A LIFELONG Saints fan is joining his love of rugby league and beer together to host a magic weekend festival.
Jonny Birketts from St Helens, who owns Problem Child Brewing crafts ales, will host the event at the Wayfarer brew pub in Parbold to show all the rugby league games over the Magic weekend.
The event will kick off on Friday, May 24 with live music from St Helens band Marble Eyes.
Then on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 the venue will host a beer festival while also showing all the rugby league games.
Both nights will include entertainment as well.
Each team will also have has their town represented in Beer and Gin.
Jonny said: "It’s the heart not the postcode that counts in rugby."
"The best thing about rugby league is the fans, the banter is always friendly. I would love to see a shirt from every team there at the weekend."
