LIFT the lid on the history of one of Warrington's oldest villages.
The successful Thelwall Heritage Discovery Weekend in October prompted many people to ask why there was no local history group in the village.
Well thanks to a team of people, resident with family links to Thelwall, there is now going to be one.
The first meeting of Thelwall History Group will take place on Wednesday at 7pm in the Royal British Legion, Stockport Road, Thelwall.
This is your opportunity to share memories and interests and shape the group’s future direction. At present, plans include talks, walks, sharing memories and researching Thelwall’s history, especially since the 1940s.
The Thelwall History Group will be meeting on the second Wednesday of each month.
