FIDDLER's Ferry Road was closed this morning after a lorry carrying a digger burst into flames.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene in Widnes shortly before 8am today, Friday.
One fire engine was sent to tackle the blaze, involving a digger on the back of a wagon, and was in attendance for around half-an-hour.
Fiddler's Ferry Road was shut while firefighters dealt with the incident, but has since been reopened.
