THE news The Botanist has been named as the first restaurant to be signed up for the new Time Square development caused plenty of excitement on our Facebook page today. 

The home of hanging kebabs, bottomless brunches and botanical cocktails is set to open at the end of 2019 in Warrington town centre.

As well as the menu exciting readers, there's also regular events including musical bingo and kids craft mornings.

The site adds: "It started with a seed, an idea to create a secret garden of food and drink.

"A place where antiquities and trinkets hang from the walls, and resident botanists craft unusual concoctions."

Here's some of the items on the menus in nearby restaurants in Knutsford and Chester to give you an idea of what Warrington can look forward to. 

LUNCH 

The deli boards are a popular lunchtime favourite with diners choosing from four items for £11.95. 

Options are split into sections including chilled favourites, meat and fish, cheese and hot pots. 

DINNER

Evening options include small plates like Cumberland chipolatas with honey and sesame or lavender honey and sunflower loaf with whipped goat's cheese butter. 

The hanging kebabs include a salt and pepper pork belly, lamb kofta or crispy halloumi options. 

There's also a variety of burgers and salads followed by popcorn creme brulee, baked chocolate chip cookie dough or sticky toffee pudding among the choice of desserts.

SUNDAY ROASTS

Sunday roasts are two courses for £17.50 or three for £21.50. 

Options include lamb, pork, chicken, beef or a mushroom, red lentil and chestnut nut roast. 

There's also optional sides including cauliflower cheese, chipolatas and stuffing balls. 

BOTTOMLESS BRUNCHES

For £25 per person diners can choose from a variety of breakfast dishes as well as bottomless cocktails or prosecco. 

Breakfast options include a full English, pancakes and sausage or bacon sandwiches.
