DRIVERS will need to careful when new bus lane enforcement comes into force on one of Warrington's busiest roads.
Cameras are being added to Wilderspool Causeway to catch drivers in the bus lane every day between 7.30am and 9.30am and 4.30pm until 6.30pm.
Owners of vehicles who use the lanes unlawfully can face a charge of £60, or £30 if paid within 14 days.
According to Warrington Borough Council, the cameras will start working at the beginning of May but motorists will get a period of grace with warning letters before fines officially come into force later in the month.
Work has been taking place on the road this week in preparation for the introduction.
It follows the introduction of cameras on Knutsford Road, lower Bridge Street and the bus gate by The Halliwell Jones Stadium back in 2017.
Thousands of motorists were caught out when cameras were first added to Knutsford Road.
