FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a town centre supermarket in the early hours.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Iceland on Crosfield Street at 1.15am today, Friday.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene, with the blaze having started in a freezer in the store.
The supermarket was filled with smoke following the fire, with crews remaining on the scene for around 45 minutes in total.
Iceland has been contacted for comment.
