WARRINGTON residents are being encouraged to have their say on primary care health services across the town at the first public CCG meeting of the year.

To raise awareness of the services available in the town and enable people to learn more about who NHS Warrington CCG are and what they do, the first Get Engaged event of 2019 will take place on Wednesday, May 15 from 6pm until 8pm at The Gateway on Sankey Street.

The session will be an opportunity for attendees to learn more about primary care in Warrington.

Topics to be highlighted during this session will include an overview of the use of technology within GP practices to benefit patients, a look at the wide range of professionals who work within the primary care setting and at the options available to us when we feel unwell.

Katie Horan, engagement manager at NHS Warrington CCG, said: “Engaging with our patients is at the heart of what we do.

"Warrington people who use the services we commission have an important role in our work.

“And, in listening to feedback, we recognised that not all people want to take part in our more formal engagement opportunities. "Our Get Engaged events are open to all and will provide residents with an informal chance to find out more about the services on offer in our town and ask any questions they may have.

"We’re looking forward to seeing as many people as possible on May 15."
