A man has been treated for injuries after being hit by a tram in Prestwich.
Police were called shortly before 5.15pm on Wednesday to a report of a pedestrian colliding with a tram at Prestwich Metrolink station.
Injuries to a man, described by police as in his 20s, are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
Services between Bury and Queens Road were suspended in both directions as a result of the incident and there were severe delays between Bury and Manchester Victoria for a number of hours afterwards.
The man has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called shortly before 5.15pm on Wednesday 24 April 2019 to a report of a pedestrian colliding with a tram at Prestwich Metrolink station.
"A man has been detained under the mental health act and is receiving treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening or life changing."
