GEORGE CONOR MACMILLAN, 26, of Antrim Close, Bulford Barracks, pleaded guilty to assault. The incident occurred in Salisbury on September 23 last year. He was fined £459, ordered to pay compensation of £150, a victim’s surcharge of £45, and costs of £85.

RAYMOND JOHN WHATLEY, 70, of Horefield, Porton, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle whilst over the legal drink driving limit. He drove the Ford Fusion car in Amesbury on March 15. He was fined £220, and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge, and £85 costs.

DEAN ROBERT BEVIS, 35, of Vale View Road, South Newton, indicated a plea of guilty to beating a Wiltshire Police detention officer on December 12 last year. The incident happened in Melksham. He also pleaded guilty to harassing two other officers on the same day, and the same location. He was ordered by magistrates to attend pre-agreed treatment sessions for his alcohol dependency, and participate in 80 hours of community service. He must also pay £400 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85, and an additional £85 in costs.

ALAN GRAHAM LUCAS, 36, of Wessex Road, Salisbury, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made on October 30 last year after assaulting a police officer. He was also brought to court for failing to pay £3,019 in court-ordered fines and costs. He was sentenced to prison for four weeks, suspended for 12 months. Magistrates ordered him to attend rehabilitation courses, and carry out 60 hours community service. He must also pay an additional £60 costs. Lucas was also given an extension to pay back monies owed, with a lump sum of £1,000 followed by £1,000 per month thereafter.

PAUL NIGEL GLADDING, 47, of Barnabas House, Castle Road, Salisbury, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by County of Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court on August 7 last year after stealing products from stores in Wiltshire priced at a total of £118. He was ordered to attend a rehabilitation programme.
