MONEY continues to be raised towards community defibrillators in Widnes after the completion of a St George’s Day themed sponsored walk.
Organised by 16-year-old Aidan Jackson, the walk took place on Saturday along the Trans Pennine Trail between Pickering Pasture and Spike Island and back.
And a healthy contribution to the project has been achieved as a result.
“The weather during the walk was glorious and those that took part enjoyed walking together,” said Aidan’s mother Caroline.
“In total, we raised approximately £160 through both the walk and a raffle.
“These funds will go towards community defibrillator number six.”
Aidan’s latest fundraising effort comes less than two weeks after the Ditton native officially installed a defibrillator at Widnes Hall Care Home.
He has also taken part in a sponsored swim and filled the Select Security Stadium with nearly 11,000 soft toys.
Donations towards his community defibrillator funding can still be made via PayPal to caz1971@hotmail.com or by visiting his Just Giving page here.
