LIVERPOOL John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is gearing up for another busy Bank Holiday weekend.
Around 65,000 passengers are expected to pass through the Airport between today (Good Friday) and Easter Monday as travellers jet off for Easter from Liverpool.
The airport is predicting that the most popular sunshine routes will be Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante, Faro and Palma alongside city breaks to Amsterdam, Krakow, Dublin and Belfast.
Another popular route will be the airport's newest destination, Copenhagen.
Head of PR for LJLA Robin Tudor said: “We expect the Easter getaway once again to bring the busiest weekend of the year so far for the Airport.
It’s no surprise to see a number of Mediterranean destinations proving popular once again as travellers from across the region head off in search of some Spring sunshine, taking advantage of the convenience and great range of destinations available direct from Liverpool, the region’s faster, easier, friendlier airport.”
