A DRIVER has been arrested on suspicion of four driving offences following a police chase in Lymm early this morning, Wednesday.
The 24-year-old is currently in custody after he hit a traffic light pole on Cliff Lane.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At 2.56am today, police were called to the A556 after a report of a broken down vehicle which had no lights on.
"On arrival at the scene, the car drove off from officers and failed to stop when requested to do so.

"After a short pursuit, the car crashed on the A50 and a 24-year-old man from Salford has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving, drug driving and failing to stop for a police officer."
The crash resulted in the closure of the A50, Cliff Lane, heading towards Warrington due to the traffic light pole blocking the carriageway.
