FIRE crews tackled a deliberate blaze in Appleton last night, Friday.
Shortly after 5.30pm, Warrington firefighters attended reports of a fire in the open in Chessington Close.
On arrival they found a large pile of wood alight and spent 20 minutes getting it under control.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
