A MAN was robbed at knifepoint in Latchford in the early hours.

Police were called to Knutsford Road at around 2am this morning, Friday, after a 22-year-old man was attacked by three offenders near to the Co-op store.

He was threatened with a knife before the men made off with his belongings.

Two men aged 22 and another man aged 27 have been arrested in connection with the incident.

But police are appealing for information over another incident in the area around an hour-and-a-half earlier.

A man was allegedly assaulted shortly after midnight near to the same shop, although no victim has been traced by officers.

Detective sergeant Mark Naylor said: “The assault was seen by a witness, but the victim has not reported the incident up to now.

“The second incident was reported only a few hours later and there is a possibility they could be linked.

“If you were in the area around these times and have dashcam footage or you witnessed anything that may aid our investigation, I’d urge you to contact us.

“I would like to appeal directly to the victim to get in touch to let us know that he is okay and to help us with our ongoing enquiries.

“We also want to speak to anyone who believes they may know who the victim is.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number IML 371842, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
