WOLVES half back Dec Patton says he has got that magical feeling of being a father again after the birth of his second child.

He and his partner Natalie welcomed baby Reggie into the world on Monday and both cannot wait to introduce him to the rest of the family.

“I’m still in shock really but I have got that magical feeling about being a dad again,” Dec said.

“We’re both really excited to start bringing him up.

“A few of the family have already been to meet him which was good, and we’re just made up to have him with us.”

The news was particularly pleasing for his new big sister Frankie, as the four-year-old has been eagerly waiting to meet the newest member of the Patton family who weighs 8lbs 10oz.

“Frankie is over the moon to finally meet her new baby brother,” the 23-year-old continued.

“She’s been really keen to meet him since she found out her mum was pregnant.

“I think she was starting to think he wasn’t coming because he was taking so long, but I’ve never seen her smile so much when she found out he’d been born.”

The couple eventually decided on the name Reggie Jax Patton after much deliberation.

“Before he was born, we were chatting about different names for him but we couldn’t find one we both agreed on,” Dec added.

“Natalie came up with Reggie and we both thought it was a great name.

“I came up with his middle name Jax, as I thought is was a bit different than some of the usual names we discussed.”

And when asked about how he was looking forward to more sleepless nights, Dec said they had already begun.

“We didn’t get much sleep the first night he was home,” said the England Knights international.

“I feel a bit hopeless really because it’s Natalie whose getting up in the middle of the night to fed him.

“We’ll see how the next couple of nights go but we’re just really happy to have him with us.”

The rugby star announced Reggie’s birth to the world via his Instagram account, where he and Natalie were flooded with congratulatory comments from fans and teammates, past and present.
