AN aspiring teacher is aiming for the top in the Miss Cheshire contest.

Rachael Woollam, a former Bridgewater High School student from Stockton Heath, will be in the final of the competition in Northwich on May 26.

She is raising money for children’s charity Variety and has already collected £100 by walking up Snowdon.

The 19-year-old is now planning cake sales, a sponsored run, raffles and competitions to raise even more money.

The final will include a four scene cat walk with the outfits being; a Variety T shirt and jeans, a black sparkles outfit, evening/ prom wear and eco wear. For the eco round contestants have to make a costume with recycled materials following the theme.
