BEST-SELLING author Curtis Jobling will appear at this year's Stockton Heath Festival.

The many behind children's TV classics such as Bob the Builder and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion will appear at 2pm on Saturday, July 6 during the four-day summer festival.

He has written 11 novels, including the globally acclaimed Wereworld epic fantasy series, published by Penguin.

Curtis will introduce audiences to his animated series and books for older children, including live illustration and readings from his novels in the Festival Marquee on the Festival Field.

Other events for children include baby yoga and baby sensory, mad science (slime and electricity), crafts, and diddi dance.

Older children can meet the animals, enjoy story telling or karate, the climbing wall and so much more.

Tickets start at £1 and there are many other free events to enjoy.

Tickets for all paid Stockton Heath Festival events go on sale at 10am on Friday, June 7.

They will be available online or at the box office at the Forge Shopping Centre in Stockton Heath.
