A CHESHIRE children’s charity is asking volunteers to join their team at the Great Manchester Run 2019 to help them raise funds.

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) provides holidays and activities for ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from around the north west at their countryside base in Millington.

Last year, Team CAFT raised a total of £10,000 at the event, also known as the Manchester 10k.

Jure Modic, challenges fundraiser for CAFT, said: “Our supporters never fail to impress us as they put themselves forward for this challenge year on year, helping to raise vital funds for our charity.

“In 2018 we had 88 runners and it would be amazing if more came forward to join our team this year to help us to make this a record-breaking 10k for our charity.”

The race will take place on Sunday, May 19, and runners of all abilities can sign up as individuals or put a team together with family or friends.

Volunteers can register for £25, and the charity asks each runner to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for individuals and £80 for team members.
