A MUCH loved dog who went missing in Appleton while trying to find his owner in hospital has been found after 12 days.

Romeo, a grey toy poodle, went missing on Thursday, March 28 after escaping from a home in Dale Lane, Appleton.

His elderly owner, who lives in Stockton Heath, was recently admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke and Romeo was being looked after by a friend.

Volunteers tried setting a humane trap, laid scent trails and set up cameras in a desperate bid to find the lost pup.

Heather Cake, who set up Lost and Found Dogs and Cats Lymm and North Cheshire, posted on Facebook today, Monday that Romeo had been found.
