FIRE crews were called to reports of smoke at a flat in Ryfields Retirement Village in Orford.
One fire engine attended shortly before 4.30pm yesterday, Sunday, and on arrival, the crew discovered cooking fumes and there were were no signs of fire.
Firefighters used a large fan to clear the cooking fumes and were in attendance for around 20 minutes.
