ARE rugby league players the toughest in sport?
They are renowned for carrying on playing with injuries, whether it is at elite level or in the grassroots ranks.
One Latchford Albion forward proved it again at the weekend.
Adam Wood
Back-row forward Adam Wood took a bang in the 50th minute of Saturday's clash with Oldham St Annes but continued 'unaffected'.

X-rays later revealed a broken jaw in TWO places, leaving family, friends and teammates on social media astounded with how he had just got on with the game.
The injury came from a clash of heads in a tackle with an Oldham player, not foul play.
Wood, 25, is a Latchford man and a former pupil at Cardinal Newman High School.
He has been with the club all his life, coming through the junior ranks to progress to where he is today. A previous young player of the year winner, he was showing great form this season until this injury.
Albion squandered a 12-point advantage to lose the game 17-14.
