A GANG threatened youths during a robbery in the town centre.
The four children were walking on Horsemarket Street shortly after 3.45pm on Sunday, March 24, when they approached by three males.
These men then threatened the youths and stole a bag from one of them during the incident.
This bag was then thrown into the rear beer garden of the Hop Pole pub before being retrieved by the victim.
A 20-year-old man and two 16-year-olds were arrested in connection with the incident, but have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Detective constable Danielle Fildes said: "Enquiries are currently in the very early stages and we are keen to hear from anyone with any information, no matter how small, which may help our investigation.
"This incident has taken place on a busy town centre street, and I believe there would have been a large number of people who witnessed what happened and may be able to help with our enquiries.
"I’m also looking to trace the victims in the case who have yet to come forward.
