WOMEN from across north Wales have celebrated success at a graduation in Colwyn Bay.

The women were awarded certificates, last week, for gaining Institute of Leadership and Management qualifications as part of Chwarae Teg’s Agile Nation 2 programme.

Rina Evans, Senior Development Partner, Chwarae Teg addressed the graduates at the event and presented them with their certificates.

She said: “This event is a celebration of the women who have participated in the career development programme. It’s an opportunity for them to be formally presented with their certificates, catch up with fellow learners and hear more about further support available to them.

“We are hugely proud of their achievements as they have not only gained key leadership skills valued by employers but also developed the confidence and motivation to achieve and prosper in the workplace.

“To date thousands of women have taken part in Wales and achieved pay rises totalling over £1.5million so I’d definitely urge other women to sign up for future programmes!

Chwarae Teg is a Welsh charity which aims to support the economic development of women, as well as working with businesses and organisations to develop and improve working practices.

It states it has a vision where every woman and girl is treated equally, is able to fully participate in the economy, and public and political life and live safe from violence and fear.
