Police have issued a warning
POLICE have issued an alert to residents after reports of bogus officials knocking on doors in Newton-le-Willows.
Officers say that suspected bogus officials have been operating around the area, in particular on Catherine Way.
Residents are being urged, if they receive a knock at the door, to always request to see identification, and if in doubt not to answer the door.
